Stacey Cope

Vice President, Project Management

Stacey worked at the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI) for eight years.  The SEI works closely with defense and government organizations, industry, and academia to continually improve software-intensive systems. They help organizations improve their software engineering capabilities and to develop or acquire the right software. Specifically, her work with the SEI involved: performing research to explore promising solutions to software engineering problems, identifying and codifying technological and methodological solutions, testing and refining the solutions through pilot programs that help industry and government systemically solve problems, and widely disseminating and implementing proven solutions through training, licensing, and publication of best practices.

Stacey brings with her strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a proven ability to interact with government, business and academic constituencies, both domestically and internationally.  She’s had extensive contact with the SEI Partners, Instructors, Senior Management, Technical Staff and the public (attendees of courses).  She assisted in managing content for more than 10 of the SEI courses and oversaw the instructor program, which included over 400 instructors and partners from all over the world.  Stacey also has experiences with hiring and training of staff, and was the Team Leader for the department’s support staff.  She also has experience with contract documents and has worked closely with Accounts Receivable (AR) in ensuring proper billing, collection and accounting procedures.

Stacey earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Organizational Development and a Masters of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College.
