DOT Non Bulk Training – Hazmat US Ground Shipper Certification – 49CFR
If you are part of the pre transportation functions when shipping hazardous materials by US ground, DOT Non Bulk training (49 CFR) is required by federal law. Anyone performing a job function that affects hazardous materials (hazmat) transportation must complete this training within 90 days of being assigned—and refresher training is required every three years.
This course provides both initial and recurrent training for hazmat employees involved in U.S. domestic ground shipping. It’s designed to help you understand the regulations, avoid costly violations, and perform your job safely and confidently. Our training teaches you how to use the DOT 49 cfr manual to ship the hazardous materials you need to ship properly!

The training covers 49cfr §172.704 sub part h training requirements.
- Anyone who is part of the pre-transportation functions. i.e., Anyone who classifies the shipment, fills out or signs the shipping paper, marks, labels, fills, secures, or packages pick out the packaging, placards, or provide the placards to the driver.

You can stop and start and go back to where you left off in the training. You do not have to complete it all at once.
You have an unlimited amount of times to take the final test. You can also retrake the training if needed.
Our webinars are live webinars conducted by an instructor over the computer using a webinar software. Our webinars are private to you and/or your trainees. We setup a date and time that works for both you and our instructor. Our webinars are conducted Monday – Friday. Saturdays are at an additional cost.

We can customize the content to a few of the hazards you are shipping. We would need you to provide the SDS’s of the hazmats that you are shipping and the quantities you are shipping them in. From there we will customize the content to what you are shipping, so the training is relevent to what you are shipping.
