IMDG Training – Dangerous Goods Shipping By Vessel – IMO
The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Regulations govern the safe transportation of dangerous goods by vessel and are developed and maintained by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
This course is required for all employees who directly handle, prepare, document, or otherwise impact the transport of dangerous goods by vessel. Completion of this training is mandatory every three (3) years to remain compliant with regulatory requirements.
This course provides both initial and recurrent training for dangerous goods employees involved in international vessel shipping.

IMDG Code 1.3.1 mandates that all shore-based personnel involved in shipping dangerous goods by vessel receive training on the regulations.
- All Shore-based personnel who handle, ship, and/or receive dangerous goods by vessel.

Commonly Asked Training Delivery Questions
You have a year to use the code to access the training.
You can stop and start and go back to where you left off in the training. You do not have to complete it all at once.
You have an unlimited amount of times to take the final test. You can also retrake the training if needed.
Our webinars are live webinars conducted by an instructor over the computer using a webinar software. Our webinars are private to you and/or your trainees. We setup a date and time that works for both you and our instructor. Our webinars are conducted Monday – Friday. Saturdays are at an additional cost.

Our webinars do not have a limit to how many people. We can do a webinar for one person or more.

We will schedule the training for a day and time that works for you, your trainees and our instructor. Our instructor will come onsite to your location to conduct the training.
We provide LMS training modules of our online computer based training to clients by dispatching it to their learning management system. We can customize the training or even provide provide our standard training for you. We can customize the content to a few of the hazards you are shipping. We would need you to provide the SDS’s of the hazmats that you are shipping and the quantities you are shipping them in. From there we will customize the content to what you are shipping, so the training is relevent to what you are shipping.
