      Corrections and Technical Amendment

On October 9, 2024, The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published its final rule in the Federal Register correcting several errors contained within the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) published on May 20, 2024. OSHA found that several errors in both regulatory text and appendices to the HCS which pertain to the classification and information presented on labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). While OSHA believes these errors to be minor and primarily typographical in nature, the agency hopes this final rule will help avoid confusion or unnecessary costs to the regulated community. For a full look at the finsal rule you can click HERE NOW!

OSHA will continue to review its regulatory text and will issue future final rules to correct additional minor errors as it finds them.
