What Will Reign Supreme This Year?

In similar fashion to the Occupational Health and Safety Administration’s (OSHA) Top 10 most cited standards, the American Transport Research Institute (ATRI) recently released their Top 10 Driver Concerns for fiscal year 2022. The ATRI reported its largest response ever this year. It had over 4,200 industry stakeholders which included: truck drivers, industry suppliers, driver trainers, law enforcement, motor carriers, and more. Of those respondents, a whopping 47% came from professional truck drivers and another 39% of respondents were motor carrier executives.

To top this all off, for the first time in five years, Driver Shortage was knocked off the top spot being replaced by Fuel Prices. This year’s top 5 concerns consisted of:

      1. Fuel Prices
      2. Driver Shortage
      3. Truck Parking
      4. Driver Compensation, and
      5. The Economy
