First Addendum to IATA DGR 65th Edition
Stay Informed
In its first update of the year, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) recently released Addendum I to the Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR). The major emphasis appears to be on operator and state variations. While that is not the total focus of Addendum I, you will notice many of the changes come from correcting errors such as spelling and grammar, clarifying regulations, and adding or removing restrictions.
Some highlights include:
- New and Amended Operator Variations
- Updates from FedEx, Hawaiian Airlines, China Airlines and more
- Changes to Section 8 and Section 10
- Changes to Appendixes D.1, F.4, and F.5
It should also be noted these changes take effect April 20, 2024, and is likely the first of many updates this year. Addendum I should act as a reminder that these regulations are not a one and done type of matter. It is crucial to stay up to date on important information and regulation changes such as these.
