CoVID-19 Vaccine Mandate Update
Two major updates have coming down the pipeline this week involving the fate of the Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) for business with 100 or more employees. The first update is the extension of comments by 45 days “to allow stakeholders additional time to review the ETS and collect information and data necessary for comment.”
The second and more telling is the Senate, Wednesday December 8, 2021 voted to overturn the Biden administrations vaccine mandate with a simple majority of 52-48 with two Democrats changing sides. It is now unlikely the mandate will become law, but only time will tell. The Biden administration has also publicly commented that “[should the resolution] come to the president’s desk, he will veto it.”
