      EPA Proposed Rule Withdrawal

      • Categories Uncategorized
      • Date July 11, 2025

      SNURS

For those who were originally going to be affected by the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) proposed significant new use rules (SNUR) published in the federal register on June 20, 2023, which covered 18 chemical substances, you no longer must worry about it. The EPA withdrew its proposed rules because it also withdrew the TSCA Order, which was the basis for the June 20, 2023, proposed rule.

If you are curious about which specific chemicals were covered under the original proposed rule it can be found HERE. This withdrawal went into effect July 9, 2025, and serves as an important reminder to use your voice with these proposed rules. Because of your comments on how the new rule would have adverse effects, it is now being withdrawn. To see the withdrawal notice in its entirety, you can check it out HERE.
