EPA Proposed Rule Withdrawal

For those who were originally going to be affected by the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) proposed significant new use rules (SNUR) published in the federal register on June 20, 2023, which covered 18 chemical substances, you no longer must worry about it. The EPA withdrew its proposed rules because it also withdrew the TSCA Order, which was the basis for the June 20, 2023, proposed rule.

This withdrawal went into effect July 9, 2025, and serves as an important reminder to use your voice with these proposed rules.
