      Electronic Logging Devices

On October 17, 2025, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) removed 5 devices from its Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) list due to a failure to meet the minimum requirements established in title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Appendix A to Subpart B of Part 395. The removals of said devices are effective as of October 17, 2025, and covers the following devices:

      • ELD Provider: ART KILIM INC

      ELD Name: PREMIUM ELD

      Model Number: PMM

      ELD Identifier: PMM492

      • ELD Provider: Clean Aura Corp

      ELD Name: TRUE LOGBOOK

      Model Number: 2TRUL

      ELD Identifier: TRL584

      • ELD Provider: Xplore Tech Inc

      ELD Name: Xplore ELD

      • ELD Provider: Evo ELD Inc.

      ELD Name: EVO ELD 1
      Model Number: EVO 1
      ELD Identifier: G711H2

Recently added to the list by the FMCS on October 24, 2025, is PHOENIX ELD.

      • ELD Provider: Phoenix ELD

      ELD Name: PHOENIX ELD

      Model Number: PHOELD

      ELD Identifier: PRS973

Like the ones listed on October 17, 2025, motor carriers using any device not listed on the approved list must discontinue use. Drivers will have up to 60 days to replace their unauthorized ELDs with a new compliant ELD. In the meantime, while drivers updated their ELD, they must switch back to paper logs or logging software to record required hours of service data.

To view a list of approved ELD’s drivers can view the REGISTERED DEVICE LIST to ensure they are using an authorized ELD. Drivers have until December 16, 2025, to ensure compliance. For more information about ELD’s you can visit the FMCS’s ELD website HERE!
