Did You Know?
Did you know that all private sector employers with 100 or more employees and federal contractors with 50 or more employees who meet certain criteria must submit demographic workforce data? Surely those who must currently submit it now already knew that, but for those who may be just below the cutoff and about to meet said criteria, this may come as a surprise to you. For those that already knew they must submit this information to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), you may not have known that on September 1, 2023, the EEOC announced online reporting will open to employers October 31, 2023, to begin submitting their 2022 EEO-1 information.
If you’re new to this you may be asking yourself, what kind of information is required on EEO-1 (Standard Form 100):
- Job Category
- Race or Ethnicity
It should be noted there are certain exemptions such as public schools and local/state governments. To see more criteria, you can check out the FAQ related to the EEO-1 HERE NOW! It should also be noted there will also be an online Filer Support Message Center (filer help desk) available Tuesday, October 31, 2023 to assist those who need further assistance.
Don’t forget, the deadline to file your 2022 EEO-1 data is December 5, 2023.
