For those of you who have been following our blogs about the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) actions as it responds to CoVid-19 directives as laid out in the Executive Order (EO) by President Joe Biden. You already know OSHA missed its March 15, 2021 deadline for mandatory workplace safety rule determinations. Although, behind, OSHA did respond by introducing its National Emphasis Program (NEP) before the march 15th deadline which expands its inspection program to help create safeguards for works at the most risk.
While unable to make the first deadline, OSHA still plans to release its CoVid-19 safety standards, but intends to gather more information about how the new variants and vaccinations may play a role in their determinations.
