COURSE DESCRIPTION

Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous materials cargo tank/tank truck training focuses on the pre-transportation functions associated with preparing a cargo tank/tank truck for transport. It presents both safety and regulatory requirements for anyone involved with inspecting, loading, unloading, or securing a cargo tank/tank truck for transport.

• We can also conduct a field exercise, upon request, using a staged tank truck. This exercise can be very helpful, especially for new employees. The employee has the opportunity to relate the information presented in the classroom to the actual tank truck components. The instructor will conduct an actual walk around inspection on the staged cargo tank/tank truck so that your employees have a visual reference to the components on a cargo tank/tank truck and their typical location.
